Over the past several months, we built something that was truly rooted in this community, focused on the real challenges families are facing every day.

And I’m proud of that.

But after thoughtful consideration and conversations with my family, I’ve made the decision to step aside from the State Senate race.

This decision wasn’t made lightly.  There are a lot of factors that go into a race like this, and ultimately it came down to doing what’s right for my family and for the path ahead.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and belief so many of you showed throughout this campaign.

That doesn’t go away.

I’m not going anywhere. I’ll continue to stay engaged and fight for the values that matter to this community.
